To accommodate critical functions for the 932nd Operations Group, 73rd Airlife Squadron, 54th Airlift Squadron, Scott Air Force Base Command post and Boeing’s warehouse operation for the C-40 aircraft, Woolpert design a new 52,000-square-foot Squadron Operations and Parts Storage Facility. Woolpert provided architecture; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; structural and civil engineering; landscape architecture; surveying; and interior design for the project.

The use of building information modeling (BIM) services was integral to the successful design, allowing the team to collaborate on shaping, programming and visualizing the Squadron Operations facility for early concept design analysis. Woolpert also incorporated LEED® Silver requirements into the design to improve the performance of the building, lower life cycle costs, and minimize the impact on the environment.
